This position requires experience in search engine optimization and marketing strategies, including: keyword analysis and selection; competitive site analysis; keyword density analysis; optimization of site content; optimization of meta tags; inbound and outbound link placement; internal linking strategies; and site submission. The ideal candidate has excellent written, verbal, presentation and time management skills; can work independently and with a team. The role will require the ability to champion company-wide SEO initiatives and explain the benefits and results of those initiatives to stakeholders. Experience working with content-rich, ad-driven sites is highly desired. * Translate business goals into successful search engine optimization strategies. * On page SEO audits across multiple CMS and in house platforms. * Provide and present monthly reporting of key metrics and search/keyword rankings. * Participate in marketing team promotional planning meetings and discussions. * Translate business goals into successful search engine optimization strategies. * Perform technical site analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis. * Optimize various site elements, including site structure, link popularity and writing keyword rich content. * Develop ongoing customer reports, which yield qualitative and quantitative trends for ongoing SEO efforts. * Work with multiple internal departments to develop and track all details of SEO initiatives. * Train edit and production to properly tag and optimize content for SEO purposes. * Oversee competitive keyword research and link analysis.

Requirements
American Express is an equal opportunity employer. * Minimum 5+ years organic search experience, 2+ years marketing experience. * Experience in keyword research and build-out. * Strong knowledge of search and criteria of leading algorithms. * Experience with leading search engine ranking, traffic and analysis software. * Strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. * Ability to inform and influence key stakeholders through effective presentations. * Able to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. * Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details. * Familiarity with Google and Bing webmaster tools. * Proficiency with basic HTML coding and CSS and JavaScript. * Bachelor’s Degree.
